Hike to the top of Neahkahnie Mountain
For adventurers, this is a must do! From up top, you can see the coastline span for miles. Take your time at the top of the mountain — bring a light lunch to share, the view will be unbeatable on a clear day. The hike is moderate (except for the very end which is steep), and takes approximately 1.5 hours. This time of year, the trail can be muddy, so be sure to pack the proper footwear!

A special dinner is often the cornerstone of a romantic getaway and the Oregon Coast offers many spectacular options.
- Koko’s at Alderbrook Golf Course is a bit of a local secret. They are just north of Tillamook and offer delicious local seafood or steak entrees. The highlight of dining here, though, is their incredible selection of desserts. You’ll definitely want to save room for their incredible cakes, tiramisu, or creme brulee.
- Newmans at 988 offers exquisite French-Italian cuisine in a cozy setting. There are only 10 tables available in the restaurant so you’ll want to place your reservation far in advance. We suggest you get your table the same day you book your rental home with us!
- Neah-Kah-Nie Bistro provides a more modern experience with innovative cocktails and a cozy atmosphere in Manzanita. As with Newmans at 988, reservations are a must. Here’s a quick insider tip: when you book your table, request a seat away from the bar, for a quieter, more intimate experience. On a nice evening, grab a seat at one of their outdoor fire tables. The ambience is something that very few restaurants in the area can offer.
- The Wayfarer Restaurant is your best choice for superb ocean views. The restaurant sits in front of Haystack Rock, so plan ahead and request a window seat! Seafood dishes and delectable cocktails await you at the Wayfarer.
If you’d prefer a quiet dinner in your gorgeous rental home, that can also be arranged! Enjoy a Romantic Walk
What could be more romantic than strolling hand-in-hand while enjoying ocean breezes and gorgeous views? The Oregon Coast is the perfect destination for outdoorsy couples. There’s no shortage of idyllic landscapes and hidden coves conducive to hand-holding, snuggling, and other lovebird activities. Check out the caves and waterfall at Hug Point, or hike down to Short Sands Beach, a secluded cove located between Manzanita and Cannon Beach that is popular with surfers. For a real hidden treasure walk to the very south tip of Cannon Beach to check out Silver Point.
Bike Along the Beach and through Town
Grab your beach cruiser or fat tire bike and take off for hours of exploring the town and beach. Beaches like Cannon Beach, Manzanita, and Rockaway offer long wide beaches that are perfect for a scenic ride.
For a completely different bike experience, rent three-wheeled fun cycles. Be prepared for lots of laughter!
