Poppa's Deck.

You’ve planned for your vacation all year long. Arrangements have been set: the plane tickets have been reserved, your perfect vacation home rented, you’ve lined up a pet sitter and are now excitedly awaiting your departure date. Then it happens: your child comes down with a bad case of the flu, and the doctor advises against traveling. To top it off, now YOU feel sick. It’s disappointing, to be sure, but the painful part is that the money you have spent on plane tickets and accommodations is about to be forfeited.

What options do you have? I’m excited to share that Starfish Vacation Rentals can now offer you travel insurance for your trip. We’ve partnered with CSA, a leader in the industry, to offer you this valuable protection.

Quite simply, travel insurance is intended to safeguard your investment. It would have been a lifesaver in the scenario I described above, but the policy covers more than a last-minute forced cancellation. During your stay, it can shield you from additional expenses due to early termination of your trip for an emergency back at home, medical expenses while on your trip, rental car damage, and much more. You are even protected in the event of a rare snowfall such as the one we had here at the coast this past winter which shut down roads and prevented travel.

Vacation rentals typically require a 30 to 60 day cancellation notice in order to receive a refund of your payment. The cancellation policy at Starfish is 60 days to receive a full refund, less a $100 processing fee. The next time you book a home with us, be sure to add the Guest Protect Plan. If you already have a reservation, there is still time to add this valuable protection up until the date of your final payment.

Give us a call. Then rest assured, we’ve got you covered. If an unforeseen event disrupts your trip, you won’t lose your vacation savings!
